Synopsis:
Father Benedict has blotted his copybook in the past and his only hope for a job is Bishop Langley whose plan to appoint him as parish priest at St. Thomas' is motivated by money. Housekeeper Mrs Humbley is about to be made redundant for the same earthly considerations.
